Tap and Go cards have brought about convenience, but it wont be long before the security gaps are realised by criminals who could get hold of RFID/ NFC scanners and seamlessly steal copious amounts from people in a busy area R200 at a time (the current limit). This is an incremental idea, adding to the existing SBSA Banking app or the Internet Banking site should allow for the purchase of Forex . Enable remote video call (phone/web/internet) banking centres with pickup/delivery centers/franchises rather than queues at ATMs and Branches. This also enables remote verification of id and other in-branch transactions for homebound and disabled persons. Great for the hearing impared for which sign language becomes possible remotely.
